The Caregiver Program in Canada is an immigration pathway that allows individuals to come to Canada and work as caregivers in Canadian homes. The eligibility criteria are similar to the Home Child Care Provider Pilot, including a job offer for at least 24 months of full-time employment, language requirements, and completion of a one-year post-secondary education program.
Both streams of the Caregiver Program have specific requirements and processes that need to be followed. Once you meet the eligibility criteria and have a job offer, you can apply for a work permit under the respective pilot program. After working for a certain period in Canada, you may be eligible to apply for permanent residence through a separate application.
